Summary:  Responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Department, and preparing the property's linen supply


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Laundry Attendant with daily responsibilities
  • Remove dirty linen from housekeeping attendant’s carts and replaces with clean linen
  • Stock all storage rooms with supplies
  • Separates laundry and inspects for stains and repair linens
  • Places laundry into washing machine using proper load capacity restrictions and adds specified amounts of detergent, soap and other cleaning agents
  • Lifts clean, wet laundry from washer to dryer suing proper temperature and measured time settings
  • Inspects finished laundry to assure high quality standards
  • Sorts dried articles according to type
  • Folds and places items in appropriate locations for storage
  • Handles contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHA standards
  • Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and linens; informs General Manager of any inventory needs to ensure stock levels are accurate for each day
  • Maintains all laundry equipment and informs appropriate personnel of maintenance needs
  • Performs tasks assigned by Executive Housekeeper (cleaning rooms, vacuuming corridors, cleaning public areas, washing windows, etc)
  • Maintains security for guests and property by following all security and safety regulation.
  • Follows company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management





Education / Experience:  High School Diploma or GED equivalent


Working Conditions:

  • Will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Will be required to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Will be exposed to cleaning agents and chemicals
